This is a 1930's Regal mandolin that I converted into a resonator mandolin. Regal made some faux resonator mandolins that looked like this, but mine has an actual cone in it. I replaced the wood nut with bone and got a new reproduction tailpiece. The cover plate is made to look like the old Dobro Angelus #19 cover plates. This thing is little but LOUD. I put in a neck stick. It has a solid spruce top, solid birch back and sides, original Grover tuners (replaced a couple of missing gears). Going on ebay soon.
